Commercial and office Building in Northern Iran

Facade Design for a Commercial‑Office Building in Northern Iran

Facade design by Fatemehsadat Mehdizadehdiva

Overall project by Avrin Design Group (led by Amin Sadeghiyeh)

Modeled in SketchUp

This project is located in the north of Iran and includes nine office floors above two commercial levels. I was responsible for designing the facade.

The client requested an eye-catching entrance and at least two balconies for each of the top floors. Since there were no restrictions regarding the building’s overhang (cantilever), we designed balconies with projections ranging from 1.20 to 2.00 meters to provide more spacious outdoor areas.

The main concept was to create a simple yet distinctive facade that could capture the attention of city dwellers. I used a wide range of materials within the same color palette. The main surface material is striped white travertine, which brings a clean and elegant look to the building. Black travertine and dark granite were used for the balconies to create contrast and visual depth.

Due to the region’s humid climate, we were able to include short trees and greenery on the balconies, adding a touch of nature and softness to the composition.

To make the commercial area livelier and more functional, I used customizable aluminium panels. These panels can be cut with patterns or graphics I designed, and they creating visual interest. With these panels, I could shape the light, add depth, and give the facade a dynamic, eye-catching look .

In the end, I tried to design a facade that is simple but still has character. The materials, colors, and overall shape work together to give the building a modern and clean look.
